PENTAGON Light NOVA: ultra-light safety and exceptional stability

Outstanding stability thanks to an innovative pentagonal design

The unique pentagonal shape of the PENTAGON Light ensures excellent pendulum stability. When an oscillation occurs toward a corner, a natural counterforce acts in the opposite direction, thanks to the strategic placement of corners and edges. This design effectively dampens pendulum motion, ensuring a smoother and safer descent.

Fast deployment and low sink rate

The PENTAGON Light features five corner vents that accelerate air intake and support fast, reliable deployment—more so than traditional rescue parachutes. Inspired by round canopies, it integrates a deployment deceleration system to prevent hard openings. In flight, its extremely low sink rate of 5.2 m/s (size 85) reflects its high performance.

A lighter version, ideal for Hike & Fly

Weighing about 300 grams less than the standard PENTAGON, the PENTAGON Light offers a significant weight reduction without compromising safety. Its compact packing volume makes it a top choice for Hike & Fly enthusiasts and competition pilots, where every gram counts.

Not suitable for repeated SIV training

Due to its ultra-light construction, the PENTAGON Light is not designed for repeated deployments with water landings, as in SIV or maneuver training. After each use, it must be inspected by a certified service center to ensure continued performance.

Simple and secure packing

The PENTAGON Light is designed for quick and intuitive packing. The base and center lines are all of equal length and evenly spaced, and they are color-coded to greatly reduce the risk of packing errors. Regular maintenance ensures fast and reliable deployment in an emergency.

The canopy is made from Dominico 10D fabric—ultra-light and durable. The lines are made from Edelrid Restrix and Liros DC 120, known for their reliability in extreme conditions. The risers are made from Liros D-Pro, combining lightness and strength.
