They say that paragliding skills are learned on the ground — want to come and see for yourself?
A whole week to achieve the equivalent of hundreds of takeoffs in real conditions — sounds like solid experience, doesn’t it?
The Dune is the perfect playground to learn and explore 100% of your flight range. It’s like a training slope — only a hundred times better! Sea view and holiday vibes included. With this course, we aim to offer autonomous pilots a fresh approach to soaring and ground handling by maximizing fun and discovery.
WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE?
The goal of this course is simple: to make the most of the unique conditions of the Dune du Pilat — a steady breeze, soft terrain free of obstacles, and a legendary spot for ground handling and wing control.
Guided by our experienced instructors, you’ll enjoy an exceptional environment to refine your wing control, build your reflexes in strong wind, and rediscover the pure joy of flight… just above the sand!

WHAT IS THE PROGRAM OF THE COURSE?
This course combines a theoretical part of about 10 hours with a practical section structured around at least 5 sessions of 2 hours.
If you’re in good shape and the conditions are excellent, our instructors are of course happy to accompany you for even longer.
- Implementation in "strong wind": preparation, inflation techniques, deflation and safety procedures
- Static and ground movement exercises: edge of the wind window, kiting, barefoot control
- Games, depending on group level: races, relays...
- In-flight exercises depending on conditions and relevance to the pilot’s level (flight regimes, top landings, etc.)
- Theory sessions: exercise briefings, video debriefings, theoretical topics related to soaring
Note: Paragliding is an aerial sport subject to weather conditions. The program may change depending on meteorological and aerological conditions.

Independent pilot, with complete personal equipment, having already practiced reverse inflation (limited experience OK)
WHAT PRICE?
The course price is €899 for 5 days and does not include aerial liability insurance (€55), flight equipment, transportation, accommodation, or meals.

WHAT EQUIPMENT?
Certified and inspected wing + harness + radio + reserve parachute repacked within the last year. Contact us if any item is missing.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Supervision is provided by two instructors for a group of 6 participants. This allows all trainees to practice simultaneously and adapt to each individual's learning pace.
- The course lasts 5 days (+1 additional day if needed): from Monday to Saturday.
- The meeting point is directly at the Dune du Pilat.
- Courses are subject to weather conditions. Therefore, any half-day not completed is not charged.
- We often spend the whole day out, so bring your lunch and water.
- The service only includes on-site supervision. Transport, accommodation, and meals are at the participant’s expense.
