The KANGRI X (EN/LTF B) brings for the first time to the KANGRI range a hybrid 2.5-line design, developed to push the limits of hike & fly, vol bivouac, cross-country, and lightweight travel. Faster, more stable, and more efficient, this ultralight wing combines robustness and compactness in a design fully optimized for alpine adventures.

A wing designed for mobile, ambitious, and demanding pilots

The KANGRI X stands out with its refined structure, 1.6 mm nylon rods, and new lightweight internal architecture. It inherits the DNA of the SUMMIT X, with remarkable pitch stability and excellent stall resistance. Thanks to efficient C-handles and the BTS 2 brake system, accelerated flight is smooth, intuitive, and high-performing. Its ability to exploit even the weakest thermals turns every outing into a potential cross-country flight.

Innovation, versatility, and lightness

With a flat-trimmed profile developed in partnership with a university in Prague, the KANGRI X maximizes glide and top speed. It features ultralight Skytex 27 Classic II fabric, mini-ribs for a cleaner trailing edge, and unsheathed Technora and Dyneema lines in a minimalist line plan. Rear winglets enhance agility and climbing efficiency, while ball-bearing pulleys ensure smooth bar travel.

A wing for serious mountain flying and long-distance adventures

Weighing around 3.5 kg, the KANGRI X is ideal for bivouac flying, hike & fly and paragliding expeditions. It is aimed at experienced pilots (recommended minimum 40 flight hours per year) and rewards ambitious flyers with impressive versatility. It delivers safety, efficiency, and handling throughout active flight, while staying compact and light in your pack.

Available sizes and weight ranges

Available in sizes 21 / 23 / 25, the KANGRI X covers a weight range from 68 to 110 kg. For bivouac flying, remember to include the gear weight in your flying weight calculation, as the wing performs best in the upper part of the weight range. It shares the same high-performance risers as the SUMMIT X and TRANGO X, ensuring optimal compatibility.

And what about packing?

Despite the presence of rods, packing remains easy: the 1.6 mm rods are flexible and spaced 5 cm apart at the leading and trailing edges, allowing for a natural fold. Flat and uncompressed storage is recommended, ideally in a CompressSmart bag. Like any technical wing, it deserves careful storage to preserve long-term performance.
