Wave leading edge technology

The Camino 2 introduces Wave leading edge technology to the lightweight sport class. Inspired by the tubercles of the humpback whale, this technology, developed in the "GIN LAB" in collaboration with the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea, delays the point of separation, increasing performance at high angles of attack. This translates into greater glide ratio at low speeds and a more gradual, delayed stall.

The pitch stability of its aerodynamic profile and thereduced inertia due to the light fabric enable efficient gliding on the speedbar, leaving you free to concentrate on finding the next lift. The wing accelerates quickly and the speed bar travel is relatively long, offering a high maximum speed.

A light, compact wing

Small-diameter Nitinol rods maintain the profile shape in flight and, combined with lightweight materials, enable very compact folding and packing. The Camino 2 can be packed in the Gin Concertina Compress bag and the Genie x-lite cocoon harness in our 80L x-lite rucksack, for a total weight of around 10 kg.
