Skywalk's Chili 5 is a high-tech, high-performance reference in the EN B category. And yet it's easy to fly, thanks to its highly manageable flight behavior even in intense conditions. The glider flies intuitively, and it takes no time at all to get the hang of it. In thermals, the core is easy to find and the glider rises quickly.

Additional performance can be achieved easily and efficiently in all flying conditions. This is the first EN B equipped with Skywalk SPEED CONTROL. It helps cross-country pilots perfect their flying skills to achieve even higher average speeds.

With numerous innovations and small optimizations, the Chili 5 improves in all areas to achieve maximum flying comfort and efficiency. The bottom line is simple: this is the best Chili ever.

Piloting the Chili 5

Inflation is easy, thanks to the line configuration. The internal seams on the mini-ribs increase the profile's robustness during inflation and when picking up speed before take-off. The glider is very intuitive to fly, with precise feedback. As a result, pilots quicklygain confidence. In thermals, it's easy to find the core. The wing is very responsive to braking. The brake lines are designed to meet the demands of both thermal and cross-country pilots. You can still land safely after many hours in the air. In turbulent air, Skywalk's EN B provides enough feedback to prevent the canopy from collapsing. This increases safety and keeps you on course. When flying in active air masses, the wing's high aerodynamic efficiency can be further enhanced by SPEED CONTROL. During accelerated phases, you can control the angle of attack via the rear risers and significantly increase your average speed.

Cutting-edge design

For the Chili 5, Skywalk's design teams use a fabric blend of TX-Light and Dominico 30 DMF. The result is ten percent less weight than its predecessor. Of course, all this without any drawbacks in terms of robustness and resistance to ageing. The effect is not only noticeable in your rucksack, it also improves flying characteristics.
