Gin Seok Song tells us the story behind the design of the Yeti Tandem:

Gin explains: "In addition to bivouac flying and commercial tandem flying, many recreational pilots simply like to fly tandem for pleasure, often with family or friends. We wanted to make a wing that would be very easy for these pilots, fun to fly and convenient to carry.

Our aim was to make the flying experience as close as possible to that of a solo wing. The improved 2nd generation EPT (Equalised Pressure Technology) profile makes take-off easier than ever before. Inflating is effortless, and the wing stops overhead without shooting. Take-off is super-fast, with no need for a long run-up. Back or face launch is stress-free, just pull gently and off you go.

In the air, the wing offers a compact feel with smooth but precise handling - you'll want to fly for hours, and the excellent glide performance will actually allow you to cover long distances.
Longer flights are also much less tiring thanks to the shorter risers, with the pilot keeping effortless contact with the brake handles.

Many pilots want to share a flight with their children, so we made sure that the Yeti Tandem flies really well, even at lower weights in the weight range. The long 10 cm profile also allows great flexibility to fly comfortably at different wing loads and in a variety of flying conditions.

Using technology from our other recent wings, we have also improved passive safety, which is reflected in the EN-A certification.

The Yeti Tandem gives you the same feeling as a solo wing, both in flight and when you have it on your back. By using lightweight construction techniques and materials, we've been able to reduce its weight to just 4.8 kg, almost a kilo lighter than its predecessor and more compact than many standard solo wings."
