With the ORBÉA 2, the idea was to create a paraglider that had everything it needed, with a construction as sober as possible. In-depth work on balancing tensions and force vectors on the main wing elements has, for example, eliminated all tension bands. A more symmetrical profile and better definition of the technical cut (3D shaping) at the leading edge improve thermal efficiency and glide ratio.

Light and compact, simple to set up, easy to pilot and comfortable to fly, the ORBEA 2 simply doubles or triples the possibilities of take-off and flight.

Orbea 2 features

• Less than 5 aspect ratio for maximum passive safety.
• Reinforced leading edge with shape-memory materials; Skytex Hard fabric, stable on the bias, and double reinforcement in Mylar and Hypalon guarantee impeccable take-off behavior.
• SVB internal construction for maximum lightness and a balance of lift and transverse stresses thanks to optimized positioning of the diagonal structures.
• Double 3D-shaping for a well-shaped, high-performance leading edge on the top surface and 3D-shaping on the bottom surface.
• Trailing edge tensioning system (TETS).
• Reoriented top surface leading edge.

Suspension

Four risers ensure greater stability thanks to even distribution of anchor points on the bottom surface of the canopy.
The lines are fully sheathed. Each row of lines is clearly distinguished by a different color.
Line diameters are optimized for maximum strength and minimum drag.
Dyneema lines guarantee maximum strength and durability.

Risers

The 20 mm wide webbing risers are easy to handle, even when wearing gloves or mittens.
Swivels on the handles to prevent twisting of the brake lines.
Plastic wedges on the links keep the risers and lines in position, and prevent them from loosening unintentionally.
Speed-bar in two phases, with the first part of the stroke requiring less effort. Priority to glide or priority to speed, the two-phasespeed-bar indicates to the pilot which part of the stroke he is in, without distracting his visual attention from the surrounding airspace.
